Gili Ilslands is an Island group consiting by 3 small islands, Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili air. The first mentioned, Gili Trawangan is the biggest Island and the most popular Island for those who like to party. Gili Meno is the smallest one and is located in between the other two, the only transportation on the island is walking or by horse and carriage. The thirs island, Gili air, is an combination by the other two, both by size and by how crowded it is.
So if you want party you go to Trawangan, if you want relaxation you go to Meno and if you want a little bit by both you go to Air :)

My number 1 favorite place during our trip in Indonesia is without any doubt this cute little resort in the middle of the ocean! I´m so happy we went to Gili Meno and Seri Resort! It felt like a "budget Maldives" and what I mean with that is that you get white beaches and turqouise water and amazing service...
It´s been a dream for both me & Gustav to get to swim with sea turtles out in the ocean where they are living free. I´ve seen them before, both from a boat and from a little airplane when we flew really low and close to the ocean, but I never actually been in the water swimming with them, so...
If you want to swim down to see the underwater statue outside Gili Meno you can either take a snorkeling trip by boat or you can do as us if you are staying at Gili Meno, just walk around the island and swim out :)
There is plenty fishes in the sea, and boats as well ;) Okey so I tried to be funny but the truth is that there is a lot of different companys to choose from and you should definitely not just book one without comparing them.
